Project aim

The programme originates from the agreement between Vietnam and Italy to convert the existing debt into development projects in Vietnam.

As Vietnam is among the 10 countries in the world most affected by the effects of Climate Change, the debt-swap fund will finance projects focusing on sustainable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable water resources management and saline intrusion.
